Spicy Harissa Hummus
  1. 1 can chickpeas, drained
  2. 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  3. 2 tablespoons Harissa EVOO
  4. ½ teaspoon minced garlic
  5. 2 tablespoons water
  6. salt and pepper, to taste
  7. ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  1. Place drained chickpeas in a food processor bowl and process for one minute (stopping to scrape the sides and bottom every 20 seconds). Add 1 teaspoon lemon zest, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, and minced garlic. With the motor running, slowly pour in Harissa EVOO and process for an additional minute. Add 1-2 tablespoons water to “thin” the hummus. Stir in salt and pepper (to taste). Place prepared hummus on a plate or bowl. Sprinkle with smoked paprika. Enjoy!
