Blood Orange Almond Bark

Ingredients:

2 ½ teaspoons Blood Orange EVOO, divided

½ cup whole almonds

10 ounces Ghirardelli bittersweet dark chocolate chips

1 teaspoon orange zest

Sea salt

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Toss whole almonds with ½ teaspoon Blood Orange EVOO.  Spread on a rimmed baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes in preheated oven (stirring every 5 minutes).  Remove from oven and cool completely.  Coarsely chop and combine with orange zest; set aside.  

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.  Combine chocolate chips and remaining 2 teaspoons Blood Orange EVOO in a microwave safe bowl.  Heat in 30 second increments; stirring until smooth.  Spread the melted chocolate over the parchment paper (about ¼ inch thick).  Immediately sprinkle with chopped nuts and sea salt.  Chill in refrigerator until set.  Remove and break into pieces.  Enjoy!
